A 21st Century Empire?

History is littered with empire - Greeks, Romans, British, German, French, many countries have had a go at world domination. During these periods the dominating power has always viewed themselves as being in the right - they had taken their place in the world. The 20th century saw the demise of the British empire and the rise and fall of a communist one. These were replaced by the ever growing influence and power of the United States of America.

Obama and America's bright future.

From an outside point of view, America has not been well run for a long time. How George Bush was voted in once is beyond my reckoning, never mind twice. I started to think that maybe the American people were just as stupid. I know that isn’t the case, but with a man like Bush in charge, you start to ask some pretty odd questions about how he got himself into a position of power.
