Road Trip! Experience the wind in your hair and freedom at your fingertips when travelling through North America in your beloved car. Many really haven’t lived until they experience the ultimate road trip throughout America, with the destination unknown until the last minute.
Your first task will be to find yourself a car, preferably one which isn’t falling apart and is big enough for you and your friends, and a car which can handle about 60,000 miles. Once you have got your car, you will need to sort out your own American car insurance then you will be ready to hit the long open road.
Once you have your car and your insurance, then you need to begin packing. Four things which you should always have in your car are a gas can, a jack, a large bottle of water and booster cables. Then you will need to think about realistically what you need and what you don’t need. A road trip does not involve five star accommodations; in fact it may not even involve accommodation at all with many heading to camp sites, staying in their tent. While you may get cut short and have to hitch up where you stop for the night, many campgrounds have shower facilities to wash away those long days without seeing a bar of soap. If you have more money to splash out on the trip of a lifetime, then you can always head to the many motels dotted around the American grounds.
Next you will need to arrange your vital food. You can get yourself a mini refrigerator which can plug into your car, while a travel stove could well become your best friend, not only for cooking your meals throughout the day, but for providing heat on a cold night.
Upon your travels, you will experience Hollywood in its full glory, the Grand Canyon; you can even get the chance to experience your own 72 ounce steak in Texas, and living your dreams in the Big Apple. America is awaiting the many eager travellers to take advantage of the sites it has to offer.
